The Detroit Lions are beefing up their defense, signing former Arizona Cardinals nose tackle Roy Lopez to a one-year, $4.65 million contract. NFL insider Tom Pelissero broke the news on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
Lopez has been a solid presence on the defensive line, racking up 70 tackles (six for a loss), four QB hits, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble over the last two seasons. Now, he’s set to bring that energy to Detroit.
