Amon-Ra St. Brown is keeping it real when it comes to the Chicago Bears’ spending spree. On The St. Brown Podcast, the Lions’ star wideout sounded stunned at how much money Chicago is throwing around in free agency.
“I feel like the Bears have unlimited f—ing money,” St. Brown said. “This s— is crazy… They’re just breaking everybody off.”
Chicago has been aggressive, overhauling its offensive and defensive lines with big-name signings and trades, including Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson, Grady Jarrett, and Drew Dalman. With rookie QB Caleb Williams on a cheap deal, the Bears have cap space to burn—but spending big doesn’t always lead to wins.
The Lions, meanwhile, have taken a more measured approach, focusing on key re-signings and depth additions. Time will tell if Chicago’s spending spree pays off, but St. Brown and the Lions seem more than happy to watch it unfold from the top of the NFC North.
