Lions Add Tight End Depth with Kenny Yeboah Signing
The Detroit Lions are adding veteran tight end Kenny Yeboah on a one-year deal, bringing in another option behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright.
Yeboah, 26, spent the past few seasons with the New York Jets, contributing primarily as a special teams player and rotational tight end. In 2024, he recorded five catches for 47 yards and a touchdown, playing 106 offensive snaps and 169 on special teams.
With James Mitchell now in Carolina and Shane Zylstra still a free agent, Detroit had a quiet need for depth at the position. Yeboah’s 6-foot-4, 250-pound frame adds size to the group, and he’ll compete for a roster spot heading into the 2025 season.
