DeMarcus Lawrence has signed a three-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks worth up to $42 million, with $18 million guaranteed. This marks the end of his 11-year tenure with the Dallas Cowboys.
Lawrence, a four-time Pro Bowl defensive end, brings considerable experience and production to Seattle’s defense, with 61.5 career sacks and a reputation for being more than just a pass-rush specialist.
Lawrence’s deal includes incentives that could earn him an additional $9.5 million, with $13 million guaranteed in 2025. He’ll join a Seahawks defense that’s looking to build on its improvement from 30th to 14th in total yards allowed last season.
The Cowboys, on the other hand, will be looking to replace Lawrence’s production. They’ve already lost two of their longest-tenured players this offseason, with Lawrence’s departure following Zack Martin’s retirement.
