Jets star cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner had a hilarious reaction to D.J. Reed signing with the Detroit Lions, revealing that he unknowingly prepared Reed for his new home.
Gardner shared on X that he had previously taught Reed the “blade dance,” a Detroit-based hip-hop dance, while they were teammates in New York. “It’s crazy because I showed him how to do the blade dance when we was in NY just for him to go to Detroit lol,” Gardner wrote. “I was culturing my dawg for Detroit without even knowing.”
Reed joins a Lions secondary that lost Carlton Davis III to the Patriots. With new defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard taking over, Reed will need to adjust quickly as Detroit looks to build on last season’s success and continue their Super Bowl push.
