Trey Hendrickson to Detroit? NFL Insider Says It’s Not Off the Table

Could the Lions Still Trade for Trey Hendrickson?
The Detroit Lions have been linked to Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson, but the asking price remains steep. The Bengals reportedly want at least a second-round pick for the 2024 sack leader, and with Hendrickson seeking a deal north of $30 million per year, Detroit must weigh its options carefully.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer believes a trade is still possible but notes that the Lions could instead opt for a younger, more affordable edge rusher in the draft. With Aidan Hutchinson and Kerby Joseph due for major extensions, and a deep class of pass rushers available, Detroit may prefer to invest in a long-term solution rather than a high-priced veteran.
