Cowboys vs. Giants: One Player Could Tilt the NFC East Balance

The NFC East is shaping up to be a battle—but not for the top spot. Both the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are facing an uphill climb after rough 2024 seasons. Despite Jerry Jones and Dak Prescott’s optimism, the Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 7-10 campaign, while the Giants hit rock bottom at 3-14.

NFL Network’s Peter Schrager believes the Giants are “a quarterback away” from turning things around, but with no clear answer at the position, their road back to relevance remains uncertain. Meanwhile, the Cowboys, despite Prescott’s dominance over the division in past years, were outclassed by the Super Bowl-winning Eagles in 2024. With new coach Brian Schottenheimer in Dallas and speculation about the Giants making a major QB move, both teams are hoping for a resurgence. But for now, they appear locked in a fight to stay out of last place.
