Lions’ Kayode Awosika Marries Bernadette Osborne in Nigerian-American Wedding Celebration
Detroit Lions offensive tackle Kayode Awosika and Bernadette Osborne tied the knot in a beautiful blend of cultures, celebrating with both a Nigerian traditional ceremony and a classic American wedding. The couple exchanged vows on March 2 at Villa Toscana Miami, surrounded by family, friends, and several NFL players.
The weekend-long celebration featured a welcome party, a heartfelt ceremony officiated by Lions team chaplain Sean Pugh, and a lively reception filled with dancing, good food, and a surprise serenade from Awosika himself. The bride dazzled in a mermaid-style gown and later changed into a beaded Nigerian dress, while the groom complemented her in a sleek cream suit.
After a honeymoon in Mexico, the newlyweds are focused on their careers—Osborne as a physician assistant and Awosika preparing for the upcoming NFL season.
