Brian Branch Gets Short but Strong Support from Lions Teammate

The Detroit Lions’ secondary was one of the most explosive but underrated units in the NFL last season. Unfortunately, injuries took a toll, and the defense couldn’t hold up in the playoffs.

Two of the key players in that unit were Brian Branch, a second-round pick out of Alabama, and his former college teammate, first-rounder Terrion Arnold. Both stepped up amid the chaos, but it wasn’t enough to push Detroit further.

This week, Arnold showed some serious love for Branch. When a Lions fan account posted, “Brian Branch will be an All-Pro next season” with a sleepy face emoji, Arnold wasted no time backing his guy.

Detroit’s secondary is going through some changes, but that could work in their favor. The team added former Jets cornerback DJ Reed and is expecting big things from Ennis Rakestraw in his second season under Dan Campbell. If things click, the Lions’ defense could be even scarier in 2025.
