The Houston Texans have officially added some muscle to their offensive line, announcing the signing of veteran tackle Cam Robinson.
Reports surfaced last week that the former Alabama standout had agreed to a one-year deal with Houston, and now it’s official. Robinson, who won a national championship with the Crimson Tide in 2015 and took home the Outland Trophy in 2016, was originally drafted 34th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017.
After spending most of his career in Jacksonville, Robinson was traded to the Minnesota Vikings last season before hitting free agency. His deal with the Texans could be worth up to $14.5 million.
With Robinson now locked in, Houston is beefing up its protection for quarterback C.J. Stroud as they look to make another playoff run in 2025.
