Alabama’s basketball team is facing a tough situation after losing to Auburn, the No. 1 team in the country. The Crimson Tide, ranked No. 2, fell 94-85 to the Tigers, who proved why they’re the top team in the nation.
Auburn’s win marked their 14th quadrant 1 victory, the most in college basketball. They also showed off their depth, with six players scoring in double figures. Johni Broome led the way with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists.
This loss puts Alabama in a difficult position, but they’re still projected as the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. They have eight quadrant 1 wins, including victories over Houston and Texas A&M.
