Alabama’s Jihaad Campbell Misses Pro Day After Surgery

Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell had to sit out the team’s Pro Day on Wednesday due to a recent surgery on a torn labrum. He confirmed the news with SEC Network, following his performance at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Campbell is expected to be a first-round pick, with NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah even projecting him to go No. 9 overall to the New Orleans Saints.

The New Jersey native had an impressive junior season, leading Alabama with 119 tackles, five sacks, and two forced fumbles. His versatility as both an off-ball linebacker and a pass rusher makes him a valuable prospect for NFL teams.

Despite the injury, Campbell is still expected to hear his name called early in the draft, likely in the first or second round.
