Allen Robinson Names Lions Duo Best in the NFL, Snubs the Rest of NFC North

Now an ESPN analyst, Robinson boldly declared Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams the best wide receiver duo in the entire NFL heading into the 2025 season. That’s right—better than Chase & Higgins, better than A.J. Brown & DeVonta Smith, and yes, better than Justin Jefferson & Jordan Addison.

Robinson’s reasoning? Production.

> “The only group on this list to have two 1,000-yard receivers last season,” Robinson said on ESPN. “We know what Amon-Ra can do… but Jameson Williams: 58 catches for over 1,000 yards last year. There’s not too many people doing that in this league.”

It’s not a wild claim when you look at the numbers, but it’s still a spicy one, especially when no other NFC North pairing even cracked his top five. That includes the Vikings’ Jefferson and Addison—a tandem many would argue has a stronger case based on pedigree alone.

The question now is whether St. Brown and Williams can repeat last year’s success with a new offensive coordinator in town and a retooled offensive line trying to protect Jared Goff. Robinson seems to believe they can.

Either way, he’s put a massive chip on the shoulders of rival fans—and possibly a target on the backs of Detroit’s dynamic duo.
