Allen’s Next Stop: Lions Agree to Terms with Veteran QB

The Detroit Lions have reportedly agreed to terms with quarterback Kyle Allen, a veteran journeyman who most recently played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Allen, who has also spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Washington Commanders, Houston Texans, and Buffalo Bills, brings a wealth of experience to the Lions’ quarterback room.

The 29-year-old quarterback has made 19 starts in his six-year NFL career, throwing for 4,753 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions. He has also rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns.

The Lions’ quarterback depth chart now includes Jared Goff, Hendon Hooker, Jake Fromm, and Allen. The addition of Allen provides a veteran presence behind Goff and adds depth to the position.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
