America Gears Up: Protests Against Trump and Musk Sweep the Nation

Protests Planned Across the US Targeting Trump and Musk

People all over the U.S. are gearing up for big protests this Saturday against President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk. The rallies are taking place in all 50 states    including major spots like the National Mall in DC and state capitols    and are being organized by over 150 different groups. These include civil rights activists, labor unions, LGBTQ+ advocates, veterans, and voting rights supporters, all coming together under the banner “Hands Off!”

So, what’s got folks riled up? Protesters are pushing back on Trump’s latest moves to shrink the government   laying off federal workers, cutting social programs, closing down Social Security offices, and dialing back protections for transgender people. They’re also not happy with cuts to healthcare funding and stricter immigration enforcement.

Musk isn’t escaping the heat either. As head of the new Department of Government Efficiency, he’s backing many of these cutbacks, saying they’re saving taxpayers billions. But critics say these cost-saving moves are hurting vulnerable communities.

While protests against Trump and Musk have popped up before, organizers are hoping this weekend’s turnout will be the biggest yet since Trump’s return to office in January    maybe even rivaling the massive Women’s March in 2017 or the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020.

The White House hasn’t commented yet on the demonstrations.
