FRISCO, Texas – After a season with Washington, Dante Fowler Jr. is back in Dallas and couldn’t be happier. The veteran defensive end, who had a standout year in 2024, is looking to make an even bigger impact in his second stint with the Cowboys.
“It feels amazing to be back,” Fowler said. “I’m ready to get going with the guys for sure.”
And why wouldn’t he be excited? Last season, Fowler racked up 10.5 sacks, 39 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and even grabbed his first career interception—taking it to the house for a touchdown in Week 7 against the Panthers. He credits his time in Dallas from 2022-23 for helping him elevate his game.
“It was big for me to show people that I’m still here and that I can produce at a high level,” he said. “Learning from Coach [Aden Durde], Micah [Parsons], and [DeMarcus Lawrence] really helped me.”
Now back with the Cowboys, Fowler wants to be a leader for the younger defensive linemen like Sam Williams and rookie Marshawn Kneeland.
“I want to be that veteran presence, lead by example, and help develop these young guys,” he said. “Most importantly, I want to set the tone for our defense and get after the quarterback.”
Under new defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, the Cowboys are focusing on a fast, physical.
