Bama Comes Calling: 300-Pound Mississippi OL Can’t Hide His Excitement

Alabama’s football recruiting team has been putting in the work, handing out offers to top prospects in the 2027 class. One of the latest to receive an offer? Hayden Ainsworth, a 300-pound offensive lineman out of Biloxi, Mississippi.

Ainsworth was pumped about the opportunity, telling Touchdown Alabama, “It means the world. When you think of blue blood programs, Alabama is the first one that comes to mind. Having coaches believe in me like that is unreal. This is what I’ve been working for since I first learned about high school recruitment.”

Born in 2009, Ainsworth knows Alabama has been a dominant force for as long as he can remember. “They’ve been at the top my whole life. No matter what people say now, their legacy is still there and growing.”

He plays for Biloxi High School under head coach Jamey Dubose, a three-time state champion who’s led powerhouse programs like Central-Phenix City and Prattville. Ainsworth believes Dubose is the perfect coach to prepare him for the next level.

“Records don’t lie,” Ainsworth said. “This is my second year under him, and I’ve already seen major improvement—not just for me, but for our whole team. Not everyone gets to play for a coach like that, and I’m making the most of it.”

For now, Ainsworth is focused on his high school career, but he’s eager to visit Alabama and start building relationships with the coaching staff. “I can’t wait to meet the new OC and work with Coach Kap and the strength and conditioning coaches. I’m planning to get up there as soon as the dead period ends. Alabama sets the standard for college football, and I want to see that up close.”

At 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds, Ainsworth is projected to play offensive tackle at the next level, and most colleges are recruiting him for that role. He’s already shown strong skills in finishing blocks, pass protection, and working at the second level, but he knows there’s still room to improve as he continues his high school career.

It’s clear Ainsworth is just getting started, and with Alabama now in the mix, his recruitment is only heating up.
