The Rocket Mortgage Classic is back in town, and before the PGA pros battle it out for real, some of Detroit’s most beloved sports stars are hitting the fairways for a fan-favorite tradition — the Delta Dental Pro-Am.
Set to tee off Wednesday, June 25, at the Detroit Golf Club, the Pro-Am event is bringing together a star-studded crew of athletes and celebrities. NFL legend Barry Sanders will headline the group, joined by Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin and teammate Alex DeBrincat. From the gridiron to the ice, the local sports world is coming together — this time, trading in cleats and skates for golf shoes.
Representing the Lions will be kicker Jake Bates, punter Jack Fox, and long snapper Hogan Hatten — plus a special appearance by franchise legend Jason Hanson, who still owns multiple team records. Each of them will be paired with a PGA Tour pro for nine holes of laid-back, competitive fun.
It’s not just athletes, either. Hailie Jade, daughter of Eminem, and her husband Evan McClintock will also be part of the field, alongside NASCAR driver Noah Gragson and Pistons assistant coach Sidney Lowe.
And here’s the best part — admission and parking are completely free. Fans can walk the course, snap photos, get autographs, and soak in the electric atmosphere before the tournament officially kicks off.
This year’s Pro-Am isn’t just a warmup — it’s a celebration of everything Detroit: sports, community, and culture. Whether you’re a diehard Lions fan or just want to catch Barry Sanders swinging a golf club, it’s a can’t-miss moment.
