Baylor managed to shake off a rough start and beat Oklahoma State 71-61 on Saturday night, ending a three-game losing streak. The Bears (17-12, 9-9 Big 12) struggled in the first half, shooting just 23.5% but still held a slim 26-24 lead by halftime. Jeremy Roach and Robert Wright III led the charge with 37 combined points, with Roach finishing with 21. The Bears have now won five straight against the Cowboys and improved to 13-2 at home.
Despite being down by as much as 10 points in the first half, Baylor found its rhythm. Jayden Nunn added 11 points, and Norchad Omier contributed 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, pushing his career total to 1,615 and passing Bill Russell on the NCAA all-time rebounding list.
Oklahoma State (14-15, 6-12) kept it close for a while, with Bryce Thompson scoring 19 points, but they couldn’t recover after cutting the lead to 63-59 late in the game. The Cowboys have now lost 11 straight conference road games.
