Bears Snag Ex-Jaguars OC to Join Ben Johnson’s Coaching Team

The Chicago Bears made a major move this offseason by hiring Ben Johnson, the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator, as their new head coach. Known for his innovative playcalling, Johnson’s arrival has been highly anticipated. Now, he’s quickly assembling a talented coaching staff to support his first head coaching role.

One of his first big moves was bringing in Press Taylor, former offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, as the team’s new passing game coordinator. Taylor, who spent three seasons in Jacksonville, helped the Jaguars reach the playoffs in 2022 but faced challenges the following years, including a key injury to quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Despite the setbacks, Taylor’s experience will provide valuable support as Johnson looks to elevate the Bears’ offense to new heights.
