NFL Lineman Jake Kubas Comes Home to Share the Game with Local Kids
New York Giants offensive lineman Jake Kubas is back in his hometown of Dickinson, North Dakota — but not just for a visit. The former Dickinson Trinity Titan and NDSU Bison is running his first-ever football camp for kids, and it’s got the whole town buzzing.
Now gearing up for his second season with the Giants, Kubas hasn’t forgotten where he came from. This two-day camp is his way of giving back — teaching kids the basics of football, while also dropping some wisdom about chasing your dreams, no matter how small your hometown is.
“It’s refreshing to be back,” Kubas said, smiling. “This is the place that shaped me. Some of these kids out here, figuring out their bodies, trying to move right — yeah, I definitely see a younger version of myself in a few of them.”
The camp wraps up on Tuesday, but the memories? Those are sticking around for a while.
