Brad Holmes, general manager of the Detroit Lions, recently shared that the team is likely to exercise the fifth-year option on wide receiver Jameson Williams. At the NFL’s annual meetings, he explained, “His fifth-year option, it’s looking likely that we’ll go ahead and just pick that up.” However, Holmes noted that while the team is considering various contract extensions, the cost of retaining a wide receiver like Williams is a major factor. “It’s expensive. It’s very expensive,” he added.
