“Breaking Down Jameis Winston’s Giants Contract: The Incentives That Could Pay Off Big”

Jameis Winston’s Giants Contract Is Full of Incentives   Here’s What’s Inside

Jameis Winston’s deal with the New York Giants is loaded with bonuses, and if he ends up as the starter, he could cash in big.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, Winston can earn up to $4 million in incentives on top of his base salary. These bonuses are tied to how much he plays and how well he performs. For example, he gets $250K each if he hits certain playing time marks   43%, 50%, 60%, and 70%. There are also $250K bonuses for hitting key stats like a 92.5 passer rating, 65% completion rate, 15+ touchdowns with at least an 88 passer rating, and 2,200 passing yards with that same 88 rating.

And it doesn’t stop there. Winston also has playoff-related incentives  up to $500K apiece    depending on how much he plays and how far the team goes in the postseason.

Winston, who spent last season with the Browns, signed a two-year deal worth $8 million with the Giants. That includes $5.25 million guaranteed and a $2 million signing bonus. He’ll be competing with Russell Wilson   yep, the 10-time Pro Bowler    who also signed with New York this offseason and has his own set of incentives.

It’s shaping up to be a pretty interesting quarterback battle in New York.
