Since that signing, however, activity has been quiet—particularly regarding a new striker. Hopes of landing Viktor Gyokeres were dashed when the Swedish forward opted for a move to Arsenal instead.
Despite the setback, Ineos remains fully committed to bolstering manager Ruben Amorim’s attacking options. According to recent reports, Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford has emerged as a likely target and could soon become the club’s second addition of the window.
