### Bulls Climbing the Rankings, But Is It Enough?
How much does a four-game win streak really move the needle? For the Bulls, it helped but maybe not as much as they hoped.
Before a tough loss to the Rockets, Chicago had rattled off four straight wins, including key victories over Miami and Orlando, two teams they might see in the Play-In Tournament. That was the longest win streak of the season for Billy Donovan’s squad. Heading into March 17, the Bulls sit 10th in the East, 4.5 games ahead of Toronto and just one behind Miami for ninth. If they can grab that ninth spot, they’ll host their first Play-In game likely against the Heat.
Over the last 10 games, only Cleveland and Boston have been hotter in the East. The Bulls are 6-4, including 4-1 in their last five, playing some of their best basketball of the season.
But where do they stand in the latest power rankings?
### Week 22 Power Rankings Roundup
**The Athletic: No. 18**
Law Murray put the Bulls at No. 18—before their win over Brooklyn. That’s ahead of the struggling Suns (ouch) and both Miami and Orlando. His take? “The commitment to the 10th seed remains strong in Illinois. … But they’re still here, I guess.”
**Yahoo! Sports: No. 20**
Clemente Almanza bumped Chicago up just one spot from 21st to 20th, even after their four-game win streak. He highlights Josh Giddey as the team’s best player right now, though Coby White is making his case. Giddey’s rise could also make things interesting in free agency, as other teams may try to lure him away with a big contract.
**NBA.com: No. 20**
John Schumann gave the Bulls their biggest jump, moving them up three spots from 23rd to 20th. He notes that Chicago leads the league with 12 fourth-quarter comebacks after rallying against the Nets. But he also warns that things could get rough—the Bulls are about to face their longest road trip of the season, with six games in 10 days on the West Coast.
The Bulls are playing their best basketball at the right time—but with a brutal stretch ahead, we’ll soon find out if they can keep climbing or if reality is about to hit hard.
