Chicago Bears’ 2025 NFL Draft Targets Revealed by Insider
With former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson now leading the Chicago Bears, the team is looking to replicate the success their NFC North rivals have achieved. While the Lions made a strong playoff run, the Bears ended last season at the bottom of the NFC North standings. However, with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and quarterback Caleb Williams in the fold, Chicago is hopeful for a swift turnaround.
One key element of the Bears’ strategy is reinforcing the offensive line, which struggled last season and allowed the most sacks in the NFL. According to NFL insider Tony Pauline, the Bears’ focus is on building a robust, sturdy offensive line similar to the Lions’ approach. They are particularly interested in improving their interior line, which may come through both free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft, where the team holds the 10th overall pick.
Pauline revealed that the Bears have a few draft targets on their radar. Among them are offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. from Oregon and guard Wyatt Milum from West Virginia, both of whom could significantly bolster Chicago’s blocking unit. The Bears may also look to trade down from the 10th pick, adding more selections to further strengthen their offensive line. Other top prospects include Will Campbell of LSU and Kelvin Banks Jr. from Texas, with Conerly and Milum as potential options if they move down in the draft.
By adding these young, promising offensive linemen, the Bears hope to better protect their franchise quarterback and set the stage for a brighter future. However, the risk of drafting unproven talent is always present, and the team will have to carefully evaluate their options to maximize their return on investment.
