Coach for the Long Haul: Harbaugh Stays in Baltimore Until 2028

John Harbaugh isn’t going anywhere   at least not for the next few years. The Baltimore Ravens just locked up their longtime head coach with a three-year contract extension, keeping him in Baltimore through the 2028 season.

Harbaugh, who’s been leading the Ravens since 2008, is already the team’s winningest coach, racking up a 172-104 record in the regular season and a solid 13-11 in the playoffs. He also helped bring home a Super Bowl title back in 2012. Now, at 62 years old, he’s set to continue building on that success.

With this extension, Harbaugh remains the second-longest tenured active coach in the NFL, trailing only Pittsburgh’s Mike Tomlin. And considering Baltimore has made the playoffs 12 times under his leadership, it’s no surprise the Ravens want to keep him around.

Harbaugh was entering the final year of his previous contract, but the Ravens clearly weren’t about to let him go anywhere. Now, fans can expect more of the same steady leadership in Baltimore for at least a few more seasons.
