Coach Prime Offers 15-Year-Old Brayden Bailey — Juice Box and Jersey Included

Deion Sanders Brings Future Stars to Boulder Before They Even Need to Shave

Prime Time Meets Recess Time

Coach Prime is back in the headlines — not for a bowl game, but for handing out scholarships like Halloween candy. This time, his offer went to a 15-year-old high school freshman who isn’t even old enough to drive.

Brayden Bailey, son of Washington Commanders legend Champ Bailey, is officially on Deion Sanders’ radar — and now on Colorado’s recruiting board. That’s right: Coach Prime has offered a scholarship to a kid who might still be figuring out high school lockers.

From Middle School to Mile High Dreams

Brayden, who plays at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, stands 5-foot-8, weighs in at 145 pounds, and is already carrying serious expectations on his young shoulders.

And those expectations just got heavier — in the best way. He was invited in front of the entire Colorado football team to receive the offer from Deion Sanders himself. “Getting my first offer from Coach Prime was unreal,” Brayden wrote on social media. “Being brought up in front of the whole team to receive my offer was something I’ll remember forever.”

Two-Way Talk and Big Ambitions

Like Colorado’s two-way star Travis Hunter, Brayden dreams of dominating both sides of the ball. “I definitely see me playing both ways in the future,” he said. “I’m doing it now and want to continue that through college. I believe I could be as good, if not better than Travis (Hunter) playing both ways.”

That’s a bold claim. But when your dad is a Hall of Famer, and your first offer comes from another Hall of Famer, confidence is practically in the DNA.

A Legacy Recruited by a Legend

This isn’t just another recruiting story — it’s a full-circle moment. Deion and Champ Bailey were teammates back in 2000 during their NFL days in Washington. Now, over two decades later, Prime is recruiting Champ’s kid.

The Buffs haven’t made much noise in the postseason yet, but Sanders knows how to keep the spotlight on Boulder — one headline, and one high school phenom, at a time.

College Football, Meet Gen Z (or is it Alpha?)

Brayden Bailey is part of the Class of 2028 — not just in football, but in high school. He’s a long way from signing day, but his future is already drawing cameras, comparisons, and Coach Prime’s full attention.

Just make sure there’s an extra juice box on hand for the ride home after practice.
