In the latest installment of the Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos have selected Colston Loveland, a tight end out of Michigan, with the 20th overall pick. After a successful 2024 season that saw the Broncos return to the playoffs, they are now focused on adding more playmakers to complement second-year quarterback Bo Nix.
Loveland, a 6-foot-6, 248-pound prospect, has shown immense potential as one of the top tight ends in this draft class. Despite battling through injuries in his junior year, Loveland led Michigan in receiving and earned a spot as a Mackey finalist and Second-team All-American. Known for his route-running skills, size, and speed, Loveland would offer the Broncos a versatile weapon who excels in short and intermediate routes—areas where Nix has thrived. Even with the acquisition of Evan Engram, Loveland’s ability to contribute immediately makes him a valuable addition to Denver’s offense, especially under head coach Sean Payton.
This pick would help the Broncos take a step closer to championship contention in 2025.
