Comerica Bank, Detroit Tigers Relaunch ‘Small Business of the Month’ for 2025

Comerica Bank and the Detroit Tigers are teaming up once again to spotlight local entrepreneurs through their “Small Business of the Month” program, back for the 2025 season. The initiative officially relaunched on Sunday, May 11, just after National Small Business Week wrapped up.

First up in the spotlight: Rent A Bounce, a Sylvan Lake-based company that provides party rentals—everything from bounce houses to tents and tables—throughout Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties.

Each monthly honoree gets some prime exposure: LED ribbon board shoutouts and scoreboard mentions during Tigers games at Comerica Park, social media features from Comerica and the Tigers, and suite access to host clients or staff at a home game.

“We know how much small businesses matter to our communities,” said Meghan Storey, Comerica’s SVP and Michigan Director of Small Business Banking. “This program gives these businesses a real boost, both in visibility and in connections.”

The rest of the 2025 honoree lineup includes:

June 7: Encore Commercial Products (Farmington Hills)

July 12: Leonardo Marble & Granite (Wixom)

August 23: Murray’s Worldwide (Oak Park)

September 20: Doetsch Industrial Services (Warren)

Launched in 2021, the program is part of Comerica’s broader commitment to small business. The bank also runs similar partnerships with the Detroit Lions and Pistons, helping over 40 small businesses gain visibility in 2025 alone.

And they’re not stopping there—Comerica also runs the SmallBizCo-op, offering free radio advertising for Michigan businesses during Tigers broadcasts. On top of that, during Small Business Week, the bank pledged $250,000 in donations to five nonprofit organizations that support entrepreneurs, including Detroit-based TechTown.

This program is a home run for small business support in the Motor City.
