Country Star Lainey Wilson Flaunts Show-Stopping Engagement Ring
“Duck” Hodges Goes All Out with Dazzling Custom Design
A Ring That Stole the Spotlight
When Lainey Wilson and former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges got engaged back in February, fans were thrilled. But what really had people talking? That engagement ring.
Wilson recently gave the world a closer look at the stunning sparkler in a series of fun Instagram shots shared by Hodges. The couple appeared to be enjoying sushi and laughter, but the true centerpiece of the post was the massive, glittering ring on her finger. Let’s just say, it’s not easily missed—even from orbit.
Crafted with Love (and a Little Humor)
As it turns out, the ring wasn’t just a random pick from a jewelry case. It was custom-designed by Hodges himself with the help of Hollie Winter Fine Jewelry in Germantown, Tennessee. The company later shared their excitement online, writing, “We were truly honored to craft something so special for a love that lasts forever!”
And while the jeweler didn’t reveal the ring’s exact specs, Wilson didn’t hold back when telling WTVF-TV in Nashville how it came to be.
According to Wilson, the idea of her dream ring started almost as a playful exchange between the two early in their relationship. “I texted him some rings, just being like, you can see what I like,” she laughed. “And he was like, ‘Oh Lord, I better start saving now.’”
A Relationship Built on Certainty
The couple, who have been together for four years, didn’t waste much time figuring out their future.
“We knew almost immediately that we were going to be in each other’s lives for a long time,” Wilson shared. And Hodges took that seriously—using her sample ring picks as inspiration to create a one-of-a-kind piece blending her favorite designs.
Still, Wilson made it clear that it wasn’t about the size.
“I would have said yes if it was just a tiny little thing,” she smiled, glancing down at her now-famous ring. “But he messed up. He messed up.”
Love Sealed with a Sparkle
Just over a week after rumors began to swirl about a potential engagement, Hodges made it official on February 12. Wilson announced the news on her Instagram, sharing a heartfelt photo of the couple embracing and the caption: “4x4xU forever.”
And with a ring like that—and a love story this sweet—it’s no wonder fans are swooning.
