Cowboys Urged to Snag Free Agent Star Defender Before Camp Kicks Off

Cowboys Should Make a Move for Veteran Pass Rusher Von Miller Before Training Camp

The Dallas Cowboys have some decisions to make this offseason, and the biggest question still hanging over the team is the future of star pass rusher Micah Parsons. No Dallas offseason feels complete without some drama, and this year is no different with Parsons’ contract extension talks going slow.

That said, the Cowboys shouldn’t just sit around   they need to keep looking for ways to add depth and veteran presence. One smart move would be signing NFL legend Von Miller.

Sure, Miller isn’t the dominant force he used to be, but his name and ability to make plays in key moments still matter. The Cowboys already have arguably the league’s best pass rusher in Parsons, so bringing Miller in wouldn’t be about him taking over, but more about adding veteran leadership and making some impact plays when it counts. That alone makes him worth the contract.

Why Von Miller Makes Sense for Dallas

Dallas has to be feeling a bit desperate, especially with the Eagles still holding the Super Bowl crown and the Washington Commanders stepping up thanks to Jayden Daniels. These division rivals aren’t messing around, so the Cowboys need to show they’re serious about competing.

Adding Miller brings in a proven winner who can mentor the defense and still flash that elite talent now and then. It also sends a message that Dallas is ready to compete and learn from what’s happened over the last year.

For Miller, it’s a perfect fit too. He’s already won Super Bowls with Denver and the Rams, and joining Dallas could be a great way to close out his career   putting on the iconic Cowboys uniform and maybe turning back the clock for a few big moments.
