D.J. Reed Believes Arnold Has All-Pro Ceiling: ‘That’s Totally Fixable’

D.J. Reed Confident Terrion Arnold Can Reach All-Pro Level
The Detroit Lions’ new cornerback duo of D.J. Reed and Terrion Arnold has the potential to be one of the best in the league. Reed, fresh off signing with Detroit, believes Arnold’s aggressive play style is something that can be refined—without losing the edge that made him a first-round pick.

“Obviously, he was handsy, but that’s totally fixable,” Reed said. “There’s a reason he was drafted in the first round. I think he’s a Pro Bowl, All-Pro type of guy.”

Reed is bringing his own veteran leadership and a mindset he calls “Empty the Tank”, vowing to give everything he has to help the Lions chase their first Super Bowl. Even his former teammate Sauce Gardner joked that he unknowingly prepared Reed for Detroit by teaching him the city’s signature blade dance back in New York.

The Lions’ secondary is shaping up to be a force, and with Reed and Arnold locking down opposing receivers, expectations are sky-high for 2025.
