D.J. Reed Reveals Jersey Number for Lions, Praises Detroit’s Secondary
D.J. Reed is keeping things familiar in Detroit. The Lions’ newest cornerback confirmed he will continue wearing No. 4, the same number he had with the New York Jets.
Reed is already hyped about joining a talented secondary, especially when it comes to the Lions’ safety duo of Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch. In fact, he admitted he pushed for the Jets to draft Branch back in 2023, calling him a “dawg” and a player he highly respected.
Now, Reed gets to line up alongside Branch and Joseph, which he believes will elevate his own game. The Lions’ defensive backfield is shaping up to be one of the best in the NFL, and Reed’s competitive mindset should fit right in.
