Deonte Banks Is Changing Big Time (But Not How You Think!)

Deonte Banks has just done something unexpected for the New York Giants’ new QB, Russell Wilson. Banks, who was already rocking No. 3, decided to hand over the number to Wilson, despite it being his own. Wilson, who’s been wearing No. 3 for his entire career, was quick to thank Banks for the gesture. The Giants even shared a video of Wilson’s jersey getting stitched up, making the number change official.

But what about Banks? Well, he’s not backing out of the single-digit trend. Instead of sticking with No. 3, he’s going with No. 2 this season. While the gesture was nice, it doesn’t change the fact that Banks’ first two seasons with the team have been underwhelming. He’s shown flashes of potential but hasn’t been consistent, with some serious concerns about his effort. The Giants are hoping that No. 2 will bring a fresh start for him, and maybe even a better season.

Let’s hope this new number brings some good luck to Deonte Banks.
