Detroit Defender Fires Back at Bogus AI-Generated Tweets

A Detroit Lions pass rusher has set the record straight after AI-generated social media posts falsely attributed controversial comments to him. The posts, which began making the rounds on various platforms this week, featured fabricated quotes criticizing teammates and coaches—remarks that the player says he never made.

Taking to his official account, the Lions defender made it clear he had no involvement in the posts and urged fans not to believe everything they see online. “Stop believing the fake AI posts,” he wrote. “I never said any of that.”

The incident highlights the growing problem of AI deepfakes and manipulated content spreading misinformation about athletes and public figures. The Lions organization has yet to issue a formal statement but sources say they’re aware of the situation and are monitoring it closely.

Fans and teammates have rallied around the player, with many pointing out how easy it’s become for AI tools to create convincing but false content designed to stir drama. The defender, meanwhile, says he’s focused on preparing for training camp and letting his play do the talking this season.
