A Metro Detroit Family Turns Winter Snow into a Stunning Tribute to Lions Star

In Harrison Township, Michigan, Jamison Agnello turned a snowy weekend into a celebration of the Detroit Lions’ success by sculpting a life-size, 7-foot-tall figure of wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown in his front yard. With the help of his wife and three kids, Agnello captured St. Brown’s iconic upside-down touchdown celebration from the November 3, 2024, game against the Packers.

Though snowfall had just blanketed the area, the snow’s texture wasn’t ideal for sculpting. “The snow wasn’t even that great, either,” Agnello explained. He even had to heat snow in the garage to make it pack properly. Despite the challenge, the family’s effort resulted in a stunning, detailed tribute to one of the Lions’ breakout stars.

Agnello isn’t typically a sports fan, but the Lions’ inspiring season under head coach Dan Campbell pushed him to create something different from his usual Disney characters and animals. “Watching coach Dan Campbell get these guys so excited and playing beyond their limits… it’s just amazing and it’s infectious,” he shared.

The sculpture quickly became a local sensation, attracting fans from across Metro Detroit. Visitors have posed for photos with the snow figure, with some even copying St. Brown’s headstand celebration. Although Agnello hasn’t shared his exact address, he enjoys seeing people stop by to appreciate the work.

This isn’t Agnello’s first foray into snow art—his past creations have included animals and even a giraffe that once made local news. But this football-themed sculpture marks a special connection between his creative passion and the city’s growing pride in its football team.

More than just a snow sculpture, Agnello’s creation reflects the community spirit fueled by the Lions’ success. It’s a frozen tribute to resilience, teamwork, and the joy that sports can bring to an entire city.
