Detroit Lions Add Former Raiders CB, Rekindling Robertson Connection

Detroit Lions Add Rock Ya-Sin, Reuniting Him with Amik Robertson

The Detroit Lions continue to reshape their secondary, signing former Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Rock Ya-Sin. The move reunites him with Amik Robertson, his former Raiders teammate, as Detroit builds depth in the defensive backfield.

Ya-Sin, a second-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2019, played nine games for the Raiders in 2022, recording 45 tackles and seven passes defended. Since then, he’s had stints with the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers but has struggled with injuries throughout his career.

Now joining a young and energetic Lions defense, Ya-Sin will look to provide experience and physicality under a new defensive coordinator following Aaron Glenn’s departure. With the additions of Ya-Sin, D.J. Reed, and re-signed Khalil Dorsey, Detroit’s secondary is taking shape for the upcoming season.
