Detroit Lions Announce D.J. Reed’s New Jersey Number

The Detroit Lions have locked in their top free-agent addition, and now we know what number he’ll be wearing. Veteran cornerback D.J. Reed, who previously played for the New York Jets, will suit up in No. 4 for Detroit. Reed confirmed the news himself on social media after it was first reported by NFL Jersey Numbers.

The Lions signed Reed to a three-year, $48 million deal, making him their biggest free-agent acquisition so far this offseason. With Carlton Davis III departing in free agency, Reed is expected to step into the CB1 role, while rookie Terrion Arnold takes over on the other side of the field. At 28 years old, Reed brings experience and proven production to Detroit’s secondary, giving the team a reliable presence as they aim for another deep playoff run.
