Detroit Lions ‘Intrigued’ by Hard-Hitting MAC Linebacker

The Detroit Lions are keeping a close eye on a potential hidden gem in this year’s draft—University of Buffalo linebacker Shaun Dolac. According to a report from Colton Edwards, Detroit is among the teams “intrigued” by Dolac after his standout pro day performance.

Dolac put on a show, clocking a 4.55-second 40-yard dash, hitting 25 reps on the bench press, and showing off his agility with a 6.94 three-cone time. His instincts and footwork make him a true sideline-to-sideline playmaker, and while he’s projected as an early Day 3 pick, he could end up being a steal. The Lions already have solid depth at linebacker, but GM Brad Holmes has never shied away from taking the best player available. If Dolac is still on the board when Detroit is up in the third round, don’t be surprised if they pull the trigger.
