Detroit Lions Load Up With Rookies, Set Stage for Hall of Fame Game Prep

The Detroit Lions are officially rolling into rookie minicamp weekend, signing four of their draft picks and locking down 10 undrafted free agents.

Among the newly signed draft picks are LSU offensive guard Miles Frazier (Round 5), Boise State edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein (Round 6), Georgia safety Dan Jackson (Round 7), and Georgia wide receiver Dominic Lovett (Round 7). While it’s common for some rookies to participate in minicamp before signing, the Lions still have a few unsigned picks, including top selections Tyleik Williams (Ohio State), Tate Ratledge (Georgia), and Isaac TeSlaa (Arkansas).

The team also announced its undrafted rookie class, adding players like Arizona State center Leif Fautanu, Texas cornerback Gavin Holmes, Indiana tight end Zach Horton, and Boston College running back Kye Robichaux.

Detroit’s rookies hit the practice field in Allen Park starting Friday as the team preps for a busy offseason that includes Organized Team Activities later this month. With the Lions set to play in the Hall of Fame Game, they’ve canceled their usual June minicamp, giving these rookies a big early spotlight heading into summer.
