Lions Officially Announce 2025 Coaching Staff with Key Additions
The Detroit Lions have finalized their 2025 coaching staff, reloading after losing seven assistants—including both offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. Head coach Dan Campbell had some big shoes to fill, but he’s assembled a group that blends fresh faces with familiar names.
Key Hires: John Morton & Kelvin Sheppard Take Charge
John Morton takes over as offensive coordinator, bringing experience from the Broncos, 49ers, and Saints. He’ll also call plays, a big responsibility as the Lions maintain their high-powered attack. On defense, Kelvin Sheppard gets promoted to defensive coordinator, replacing Glenn after working closely with the linebackers.
