Detroit Lions’ Practice Facility Stays, But Exciting Changes Are on the Horizon

The Detroit Lions will not be relocating their practice facility from Allen Park, despite previous discussions. The team is instead focusing on substantial upgrades to the facility, including a major renovation to the players’ locker room, as well as expanding their weight room and updating training equipment. Team president Rod Wood emphasized that while the facility lacks space for a third outdoor field and can’t easily expand for more fans, its location is highly convenient, and they believe further investment will keep the facility competitive with newer ones. The upgrades are expected to be completed by late April 2025.
