Hutchinson, who previously shared a video of himself sprinting in February, spoke about his recovery process during an interview at The Masters, explaining how tough the early stages were. “It felt pretty long,” he said, reflecting on the difficulty of the rehab. “But now that I’m out of that phase, I really appreciate being pain-free and being able to run again.” He added that after a final round of evaluations, he’ll officially be done with rehab and ready to get back to the field.
Despite the Lions’ strong season, their defense missed Hutchinson, and they struggled to replace his pass rush. The team even brought in Za’Darius Smith during the season but still found it challenging to slow down opponents. Hutchinson ended the 2024 season with an impressive 7.5 sacks in just five games.
Looking ahead, analysts believe the Lions could target another pass rusher in the upcoming draft, potentially using their first-round pick to find a solid edge rusher to pair with Hutchinson.
