Detroit Lions’ Video Crew Wins Big at the Michigan Emmys

The Detroit Lions aren’t just putting on a show on the field—turns out their behind-the-scenes team is winning trophies too.

The Lions’ video production team, known as One Pride Productions, had a massive night at the 2025 Michigan Emmy Awards, bringing home six Emmys across several categories. That’s one more than last year, and proof that their storytelling game is only getting better.

From fan-favorite series like Inside the Den to emotional interviews and deep-dive documentaries, this crew has been killing it for years. Their award-winning lineup included:

Best Sports Story (long form): Under the Helmet: Kerby Joseph

Best Sports Documentary: Inside the Den, Episode 1

Best Sports Interview: Same Interview, Three Years Apart: Penei Sewell

Best Reporter & Host: Both went to Dannie Rogers, who snagged her first two Emmys ever

Best Editor (long form): Maxwell Hahn for Lions Legends: Calvin Johnson Jr.

They also racked up a handful of nominations in other categories, including for pieces featuring Taylor Decker and the always-hyped “Cinderella Man” playoff video.

Dannie Rogers, in particular, had a breakout night—walking away with two Emmys for her work as a reporter and host. She celebrated the win on social media with the caption: “A dream!!!” Can’t argue with that.

With the kind of season the Lions are building toward in 2025, it’s safe to say One Pride Productions will have even more great stories—and maybe more Emmy hardware—coming their way next year.
