Detroit Urged to Explore Signing Veteran All-Pro WR

The Detroit Lions have been urged to consider adding three-time All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in free agency, a move that could give their offense even more firepower. Hopkins, despite being 32, remains a reliable playmaker with strong hands, elite route-running skills, and veteran leadership. Last season, he recorded 56 catches for 610 yards and five touchdowns, proving he can still contribute at a high level.

While Lions GM Brad Holmes prioritizes building through the draft, he hasn’t ruled out making a big free-agency move if the price is right. Hopkins’ market value is projected between $6 million and $15 million per year, making his potential signing a matter of cost. If Detroit can land him on a team-friendly deal, pairing him with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams would create one of the league’s most dynamic receiving corps. With the Lions already boasting a top offense, adding Hopkins could be the final piece to push them over the top in 2025.
