The New York Giants have been linked to Aaron Rodgers for a while now, but it looks like they might be moving on. With the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the team has been eyeing a quarterback, but they’re also looking at veteran options in free agency.
NFL insider Dianna Russini shared on The Dan Patrick Show that the Giants are considering two names not named Rodgers: Russell Wilson and Joe Flacco.
“Hoping that Russell Wilson or Joe Flacco decide to come to New York,” Russini said when asked about the team’s plans.
Flacco had a solid run with the Colts last season, playing in eight games and throwing for 1,761 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Meanwhile, Wilson put up 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five picks in 11 games with the Steelers.
There’s also buzz around the Giants potentially drafting Shedeur Sanders with their top pick. If that happens, bringing in Flacco or Wilson as a bridge QB could make sense.
For now, it seems like New York is keeping its options open—but Rodgers might not be in their plans after all.
