Dominant Display! Donovan Edwards Crushes the Bench Press at the Combine

Donovan Edwards Impresses at NFL Combine with Bench Press Feat

Former Michigan running back Donovan Edwards made a statement at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, showing off his strength in the bench press drill. Despite an up-and-down college career that didn’t fully match the hype he had coming out of West Bloomfield High School, Edwards is proving he’s ready for the next level.

During the combine, Edwards benched 225 pounds 23 times, leading all running backs in the event. It was an eye-opening performance for scouts, reinforcing his athleticism and physicality. However, while his strength is undeniable, his draft stock remains uncertain in what is considered one of the deepest running back classes in recent history. Many analysts project him as a Day 3 pick, likely going in the fourth or fifth round.

Still, Edwards’ performance in Indianapolis could help boost his standing among NFL teams looking for a versatile, powerful back. With the draft approaching, he’ll look to continue proving that he’s more than just potential—he’s a legitimate NFL prospect.
