Double Trouble: Could the Lions Land a Pro Bowl Pass-Rusher to Dominate with Hutchinson?

Lions Encouraged to Trade for Star Pass-Rusher to Team Up with Aidan Hutchinson

The Detroit Lions’ defense made big strides last season, but some analysts believe they still need another elite pass-rusher to take things to the next level. That’s why there’s growing buzz around the idea of the Lions making a move for a Pro Bowl edge rusher to pair with Aidan Hutchinson.

Hutchinson has been a force since entering the league, but he’s often faced double-teams due to the lack of a dominant pass-rushing partner. If Detroit can add another high-impact defender on the edge, it could transform their defense into one of the NFL’s best.

Several big-name pass-rushers could be available via trade, and with the Lions in win-now mode, a bold move could make sense. The team has the draft capital and cap space to make something happen—it’s just a matter of whether GM Brad Holmes is willing to pull the trigger.

With the NFC looking wide open, adding another star to the defense could be the key to pushing Detroit over the top as a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
