Eagles Add Ohio State Pass Rusher in PFF’s Latest NFL Mock Draft

The Eagles are already back at work after their Super Bowl win, with the 2025 NFL Draft right around the corner. As the NFL Scouting Combine approaches, it’s mock draft season, and the Eagles are making some interesting moves. In a recent mock draft by Pro Football Focus, Philly added Ohio State’s Jack Sawyer at the 32nd overall pick.

With Josh Sweat’s future in question after he hired agent Drew Rosenhaus, and Brandon Graham expected to retire after a legendary 15-year career, the Eagles could definitely use another edge rusher. Sawyer, who’s considered the second-best pass rusher in the Big Ten, would be a solid pick. He earned a 90.5 pass-rush grade in 2024 and came up clutch with key plays in big games. In fact, Sawyer racked up 59 total tackles, 9 sacks, 7 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, and even an interception this past season.

While Penn State’s Abdul Carter is likely to be picked before the Eagles are on the clock, Sawyer could be a perfect fallback option. With the 2025 draft class loaded with edge rushers, Sawyer would still be a valuable addition to Philly’s defense. If Howie Roseman pulls this off, it would be another smart move in building the Eagles’ future.
